This Privacy Policy explains how SportCV collects, uses, shares, protects, and deletes information for athlete profiles, parent-managed accounts, media, search, contact requests, and discovery tools.
Important: This Privacy Policy explains SportCV privacy practices for users, parents, athletes, coaches, scouts, clubs, and visitors. Before launch, SportCV should complete final legal review for CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, GDPR/UK GDPR, payment processing, analytics/cookies, email marketing, and final data systems.

4. Public profiles and visibility
SportCV is built around shareable athlete profiles. Some profile information may be public or visible to other users depending on account type, profile settings, search visibility, and parent/guardian controls.
Public or searchable profile information may include athlete name, profile slug, sport, role, general location, age or age group, team/club, height, weight, skills, achievements, photos, and video links.
5. Youth privacy, parent control, and children under 13
SportCV may be used by or for youth athletes. Youth privacy and safety are central to the platform.
- Under 18 athletes: Athlete profiles for users under 18 must be created, managed, approved, or supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
- Children under 13: SportCV does not knowingly allow children under 13 to independently submit personal information. Profiles involving children under 13 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, and any required verifiable parental consent must be provided where required by law.
- Parent rights: Parents/guardians may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of a youth athlete’s information, subject to verification and legal requirements.
- Contact controls: Contact requests involving minors should go through parent/guardian controls or platform-controlled messaging.
- Safety reports: SportCV may review, restrict, preserve, or report information when needed to address safety, exploitation, abuse, fraud, or legal compliance.
For youth safety, under-18 athlete profiles require parent or legal guardian involvement. Children under 13 may not independently submit personal information or manage a profile.

- Business transfers: If SportCV is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
SportCV should not sell personal information of minors. If SportCV later uses advertising, analytics, or data sharing that creates additional legal obligations, this Privacy Policy should be updated before launch or before those features are used.
7. California privacy rights
Because SportCV is operated from California and may serve California residents, California users may have rights under California privacy laws, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses or disclosures of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Depending on SportCV’s size, revenue, data practices, and legal thresholds, California consumer privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA may apply. If applicable, California users may also have rights to opt out of certain sales or sharing of personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
SportCV should provide a working privacy request method before public launch, such as a support email, account settings tool, or privacy request form.
8. International users and transfer to the United States
If you access SportCV from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in the United States may be different from the laws in your country.
By using SportCV or submitting information, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States, subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
9. EU/EEA/UK and similar privacy rights
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another location with similar privacy laws, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection to certain processing, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
Where required, SportCV should identify the legal basis for processing, such as providing the service, legitimate interests, consent, legal compliance, or protecting users. SportCV should also identify the data controller and provide a contact method for privacy requests before public launch.
If SportCV later actively targets users in the EU/EEA/UK, accepts payments there, runs marketing there, or processes significant user data there, the Privacy Policy and internal compliance process should be reviewed for GDPR/UK GDPR requirements.
10. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
SportCV may use cookies, local storage, analytics, log data, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, improve performance, understand usage, detect abuse, and secure the service.
If SportCV uses non-essential cookies, advertising pixels, or advanced analytics, the website may need a cookie notice, consent controls, or opt-out choices depending on user location and final data practices.
11. Security
SportCV should use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, such as access controls, secure hosting, encryption where appropriate, account protections, and monitoring for abuse.
No online service can guarantee perfect security. Users should use strong passwords, protect account access, avoid sharing login credentials, and report suspicious activity.
12. Data retention
SportCV may keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain profiles, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce Terms, prevent fraud, maintain security, and protect youth safety.
If an account or profile is deleted, SportCV may remove public visibility but retain limited records where necessary for legal, safety, security, backup, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons.

14. Third-party links and video platforms
SportCV profiles may include links to third-party services such as video platforms, social links, club/team websites, or external resources. Those third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. SportCV is not responsible for how third parties collect or use information.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SportCV evolves. If changes are important, we may provide notice through the website, account dashboard, email, or another reasonable method. Continued use of SportCV after changes means the updated Privacy Policy applies.
Private information and SportCV request flows
SportCV is designed so athletes can be discovered without publicly exposing sensitive private information. Private phone numbers, private emails, home addresses, exact school/practice schedules, and direct access to under-18 athletes should not be displayed publicly or shared automatically.
If a coach, scout, club, school, academy, or organization needs additional information, they may submit a request through SportCV. Depending on the athlete’s age and settings, the athlete, parent, or legal guardian may approve, decline, block, or report the request.
16. Contact
For privacy questions, safety concerns, youth profile requests, or data rights requests, contact SportCV through the support or contact page when available.
Before public launch: replace this sentence with the final SportCV privacy email, company legal name, mailing address, and privacy request form before publishing.
