1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you access or use SportCV, including our website, athlete profile tools, search features, media galleries, video links, contact request tools, dashboards, scout/coach tools, and related services.

By creating an account, managing an athlete profile, searching profiles, sending a contact request, uploading content, or otherwise using SportCV, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use SportCV.

2. SportCV operator, California base, and governing law

SportCV is operated from California, United States. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law gives you rights that cannot be waived.

Any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding relating to SportCV should be handled in California unless applicable law requires a different forum or gives you rights in your own location.

3. Users from other states and countries

SportCV is intended to support global athlete discovery. If you use SportCV from outside California or outside the United States, you are responsible for following laws that apply to you in your location.

SportCV may not be appropriate, available, or legally usable in every country, region, school system, league, or sports organization. We may limit access to certain features, countries, organizations, or users if necessary for safety, legal, technical, or business reasons.

4. Eligibility and account types

SportCV is designed for athletes, parents or guardians, coaches, scouts, clubs, teams, schools, academies, and sports-related organizations.

• Adult athletes: Athletes who are 18 or older may create and manage their own profiles.
• Under 18 athletes: Athlete profiles for users under 18 must be created, managed, approved, or supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
• Children under 13: SportCV does not knowingly allow children under 13 to independently submit personal information. Profiles involving children under 13 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, and any required verifiable parental consent must be provided where required by law.
• Parents and guardians: A parent or guardian is responsible for the accuracy, safety, visibility, permissions, and contact settings of a youth athlete profile.
• Coaches, scouts, clubs, and organizations: Professional users must provide accurate identity and organization information and may be required to verify their role before using contact, verification, or scout features.

5. Athlete profiles and public content

SportCV profiles may include an athlete name, sport, role, team/club, location, age or age group, height, weight, skills, achievements, development timeline, photos, video links, and other profile details.

You are responsible for the content you submit. You must not upload or publish content that is false, misleading, unsafe, abusive, private without permission, infringing, sexually explicit, discriminatory, harassing, exploitative, or illegal.

6. Youth safety and parent control

SportCV is built around safety-first sports discovery. Youth athlete contact and additional information requests should be handled through parent/guardian-managed settings or platform-controlled SportCV request tools.

• Parents or guardians may control youth athlete visibility, contact access, profile information, photos, videos, and messages.
• Contact and information requests for youth athletes must be reviewed by the parent/guardian before any private information or communication access is shared.
• Users must not attempt to bypass parent/guardian controls or contact youth athletes outside approved channels.
• Users must not bypass SportCV to request private addresses, exact schedules, private phone numbers, private emails, explicit images, unsafe meetings, payments, or sensitive documents from minors.
• SportCV may restrict, suspend, remove, report, or preserve records related to unsafe conduct when allowed or required by law.

Any suspicious, unsafe, exploitative, or inappropriate behavior involving minors may result in removal from SportCV and may be reported to appropriate authorities when required by law.

7. SportCV requests and messaging

SportCV may allow coaches, scouts, clubs, parents, athletes, or other approved users to request contact permission, additional information, or messages through controlled SportCV request tools. These features must be used only for legitimate sports-related opportunities, questions, invitations, evaluations, verification, or profile-related communication.

Private phone numbers, private emails, home addresses, exact school/practice schedules, and direct under-18 access are not shown publicly or shared automatically. You may not send spam, harassment, recruiting scams, misleading offers, payment requests unrelated to SportCV, unsafe invitations, or attempts to bypass SportCV safety controls.

8. Coach verification and scout features

SportCV may include “Verified by Coach,” scout mode, profile comparison, saved athletes, or similar discovery tools. Verification means only that SportCV or a listed person/organization may have completed a particular verification step. It does not guarantee athletic ability, eligibility, scholarship offers, contracts, recruitment, or professional opportunity.

Coaches, scouts, clubs, schools, and organizations are responsible for their own evaluation, due diligence, compliance, and communication with athletes or guardians.

9. Photos, videos, logos, and intellectual property

You keep ownership of content you upload or submit, including photos, videos, text, stats, achievements, and profile details. By submitting content to SportCV, you give SportCV a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, display, resize, format, organize, transmit, and show that content as needed to operate SportCV and display your profile according to your settings.

You must have the right to upload any photos, videos, logos, names, statistics, documents, or third-party materials you provide. Do not upload copyrighted, private, confidential, or restricted content without permission.

SportCV may remove or limit content if it appears unsafe, inappropriate, infringing, misleading, low quality, or inconsistent with these Terms.

10. Prohibited uses

You agree not to misuse SportCV. Prohibited uses include:

• Creating fake athlete, parent, coach, scout, club, school, or organization accounts.
• Impersonating another person, team, school, club, scout, coach, or organization.
• Collecting, scraping, copying, selling, or exporting profile data without permission.
• Contacting minors or requesting private information outside approved parent/guardian or SportCV platform channels.
• Uploading harmful code, attacking the platform, or interfering with security.
• Using SportCV for scams, harassment, exploitation, discrimination, adult content, trafficking, illegal recruiting, gambling, or illegal activity.
• Making false claims about offers, scholarships, contracts, schools, visas, eligibility, or professional opportunities.

11. Privacy and data protection

Your use of SportCV is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it may be processed, and what choices may be available to users, parents, and guardians.

12. Service availability and changes

SportCV may change, improve, limit, pause, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. Some features may be limited until final account, profile, media, and messaging systems are connected.

We do not guarantee that SportCV will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with every device, browser, country, league, school, or organization.

13. No guarantee of opportunities

SportCV helps athletes organize and share sports information, but we do not guarantee discovery, recruitment, scholarships, contracts, tryouts, visas, immigration results, school admission, team selection, verification, messages, or responses from scouts, coaches, clubs, schools, agencies, or organizations.

Users are responsible for verifying any opportunity, person, club, coach, school, event, organization, invitation, contract, fee, or travel plan before sharing information, traveling, paying money, signing documents, or making commitments.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SportCV is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, SportCV disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted service, accuracy, safety of third-party contacts, or availability of opportunities.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SportCV is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost opportunities; lost data; lost profits; unauthorized profile use caused by user actions; or disputes between athletes, parents, coaches, scouts, clubs, schools, organizations, or third parties.

15. Account suspension, removal, and termination

SportCV may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts, profiles, media, messages, contact access, or public visibility if we believe these Terms were violated, content is unsafe, a profile is misleading, a youth safety concern exists, legal risk exists, or continued access may create risk.

Users may request account deletion or profile removal through account settings or support channels when available. Some records may be retained if necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, safety, or compliance reasons.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as SportCV evolves. If changes are important, we may provide notice through the website, account dashboard, email, or another reasonable method. Continued use of SportCV after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
